Cookies

  • Cookies are required for technical reasons
  • Personalize the use of the site for both visitors and registered users
  • Allow the display of advertisements from selected third-party networks

Some cookies can be set both when the page is loaded and when the visitor performs a certain action (for example, by clicking the «like» or «subscribe» buttons in the entry).

How do we use cookies on our site?

If you leave a comment on our site, you can enable the storage of your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is done for your convenience, so as not to fill in the data again when re-commenting. These cookies are stored for one year.

When you visit our authorization page, we set a temporary cookie to determine the cookie supported by your browser. The cookie does not contain any personal information and is deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set several cookies with your login and screen settings. Login cookies are stored for two days, and screen settings cookies for a year. If you select «Remember me», your login data will be stored for two weeks. When you log out, the login cookies will be deleted.

When editing or publishing an article, an additional cookie will be saved in the browser. It contains no personal data and contains only the ID of the entry edited by you. It expires in 1 (one) day.

Comments

If a visitor leaves a comment on the site, we collect the data specified in the comment form, as well as the potentially identifying IP address of the visitor and browser user-agent data, for the purpose of identifying spam.

Media Files

If you upload photos to the site, you should avoid uploading images with EXIF metadata, as they may contain your GPS location data. Visitors can extract this information by downloading images from the site.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Such content behaves in the same way as if a visitor went to another site.

These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, implement additional third-party tracking, and track your interaction with embedded content, including tracking interaction if you have an account and have logged in to that site.

Please note that we are not responsible for data provided to third parties. This privacy policy applies only to this website. So when you go to another site, even on a link from that blog, you should read their own security policy.

Who do we share your data with

If you request a password withdrawal, your IP will be specified in the email message.

In each case, we only collect such information to the extent necessary or appropriate for the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with our site. We do not disclose personal data. Visitors can always refuse to provide personally identifiable information, provided that this may prevent them from participating in certain website-related activities.

We will not sell or transfer your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or a legal requirement to do so.

How long will we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment itself and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This is needed to identify and approve subsequent comments automatically, instead of placing them in the queue for approval.

For users with registration on our website, we store the personal information that they provide in their profile. All users can see, edit or delete their profile information at any time (except for the username). The administration of the website may also see and modify this information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on the site, or if you have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we have stored about you, including the data you have provided. You can also request the deletion of this data; this does not include data that we are required to store for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where do we send your data

User comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
